Making Ladies Bespoke Hats - Silk
Silk Hats are made from 100% wild silk or organza, if neither of these suit the customers requirements then their own fabric may be used.
The customer is then consulted on the various designs available, these are suitable for many special occasions e.g. weddings, christenings, receptions etc. however if none of the designs shown fit customer requirements, we will redesign the hats to match the event, whether that be a more stylish, chic and fashionable design or a more traditional look, as quality milliners we will always put your requirements first.
The hats are drawn from flat pattern shapes onto the silk, hand cut, each part is machined, backed with interfacing & sewn together. The lining is then inserted
There are a wide range of brims available; from small and subtle to large and flamboyant, this will ensure the headwear matches your personality, outfit and the event you are attending.
The trim is individually hand finished from a variety of feathers, parchment flowers, silk roses, hat pins, sinamay, and organza; according to the customers needs.
